Here is a new use of a word. There is often a need to indicate that a new idea is ‘do-able’. That is a very clumsy expression. So we could use the word ‘agile’ which is derived from the Latin word ‘to do’ (same base as agenda). Read the rest of this entry »

It is easy for me to extoll the virtues of creativity and how it can transform your business. It is easy for me to explain how lateral thinking is a skill that can be taught - you don’t need ‘creative people’ to be a ‘creative organisation’.
But the true test of whether this stuff works is if we, as experts/providers/innovation partners, ‘walk the talk’.

As discussed a couple of weeks ago, we at The Holst Group have a very simple definition of Creativity & Innovation:
Creativity = the pure generation of new ideas.
Innovation = the implementation of any idea.
