Should you always give individual feedback when ideas are submitted?

January 12, 2009 by Stuart

Giving feedback on ideas submitted is essential, no matter how many ideas are generated. If you do not give individual feedback then the likelihood of further ideas being submitted is nil or at the very best greatly reduced.

The company or organisation has to be prepared to accept this responsibility if it is serious about having an ideas scheme then this needs to be implemented on a professional scale, and must include evaluation and feedback from evaluators who ideally should be trained in parallel thinking as shown in the Six Thinking Hats®.
