"Est modus in rebus" (the RICS motto).
Though not a football fanatic I am fond of the game.
I am a fairness and ethics fanatic and this way of thinking ("Football") could and should be spread into other ways of measuring.
In the systemic tickbox society which operates in UK, in health and education, where driven and applied quality, performance and efficiency measurements are bound to fail for the same reasons as extra time in football creates unfair outcomes, such a change in approach and scoring would resolve many issues. I can envisage the technology required to bring about this essential change.
I absolutely love this proposed method.
Why? Because what has been missing from many sectors is intellectual and systemic assurance. Simply...the ethical consideration has been missing...despite the legislative and regulatory drivers.
"There is measure in all things" (the RICS motto).
I am proud to be a chartered surveyor. We take responsibility and we find new and better ways of doing things - based on best possible information.
