Russell is the Chief Executive of The Holst Group, the European Strategic partner of Dr Edward de Bono, the world’s leading international authority on Creativity and Thinking skills.  Holst are also the exclusive distributor of the leading Psychometric instrument The McQuaig System™ in Europe. 

For twenty-one years prior to acquiring The Holst Group in 1995, he worked for a Fortune 200 US multinational, Avery Dennison.  He held a number of senior executive and Chief Executive positions in the UK, Europe and North America.  In these roles he was involved in many leading edge business approaches, including introducing The McQuaig System™. 

Russell works with a broad cross section of organisations. These range from small businesses with a handful of employees to clients such as BT, Whitbread, NHS, Unison, Marriott, Wrigley etc.
 
Russell has been the key speaker on Creativity and Innovation at such events as the Van den Bergh UK Marketing Conference, the Van den Bergh Technology Exchange Conference, the 3M Technical Council, the Astra Zeneca R&D Conference and the Mars IT Conference.

Iain is Managing Director of The Holst Group, the exclusive distributor of the leading Psychometric instrument The McQuaig System™ in Europe.  The Holst Group is also the European Strategic partner of Dr Edward de Bono, the world’s leading international authority on Creativity and Thinking skills.

Iain’s background is in marketing and graphic design working within large and small organisations on brand, design and identity.  Having lived and worked in Europe, North America & Asia Pacific, Iain brings experience and cultural understanding to The Holst Group’s domestic and international client base.

Initially joining as Client Relationship Manager in 2001, Iain became Business Development Director in 2003 and took responsibility for The Holst Group as Managing Director in 2006.

Cormac McGrane

Stuart Scott – de Bono Master Trainier

Stuart Scott is one of only 15 trainers internationally who have been appointed Master Trainer status in Dr Edward de Bono’s Six Thinking Hats®, Lateral Thinking and Direct Attention Thinking Tools™. The Holst Group is proud to be the only de Bono Partner in the world with a full-time Master Trainer working within the organisation.  Stuart was awarded his De Bono certification in Training during the year 2000 and was instrumental in teaching Dr de Bono’s work to unemployed people in the UK as part of the Government’s New Deal and Gateway to Work programmes. This work has now been extended into similar training for all marginal groups and disadvantaged people. Further accreditations followed in 2004 when he was also accredited as the first official Facilitator of Dr de Bono’s work globally.
